Softies, dreamers, weirdos, queer people, outcasts, and othered individuals are essential to a world worth living in. That's what gives it the flava boo! Mushy People is my love letter to them and honestly to myself.
My work is purposely personal. I create from a place of love and with great intention. I value making products accessible to anyone over trying to create for everyone. Working primarily in concrete allows me to do just that.
Concrete is sustainable, versatile, transformative, resilient, and beautiful, like the softies I design for. Concrete is so much more than a material. It’s an opportunity. The more I invest in it, work with it, and honor the conditions it works best in, the more I’m amazed by its limitless potential. This is ultimately my wish for humanity and how we relate to each other.
